In her bedroom in Ololua, Ngong, a new home she had just moved into, is where her life was put to an end by merciless gangsters in a brutal shooting.
The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) Video Editor, Betty Barasa had just arrived at her home on Wednesday shortly after 8:00pm from her workplace, hoping to join her husband together with their three siblings for the evening after a day at work. But this was not to happen as gods of fate had a different plan.
Immediately upon arriving at the gate, the house girl rushed out to open for her, little did she know that the culprits were thirsty for a chance to get in. They forced their entry and followed the personal car in which Betty was driving all the way to the parking lot.
They forced her out with the barrel of an AK47 riffle.
The screams of the scared house girl as the husband and the kids were seatedin the sitting room did not deter them to do the worst that had taken them there, maybe.
The three gangsters positioned themselves in the sitting room as one of them led Betty upstairs to bedroom.
One of the gang members who had escorted Betty upstairs did not spare her life as he shot her killing her instatntly and left with her phone and laptop.
Neighbours who came to the families rescue, were a little bit too late.
The body was taken to Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral home.
Detectives are carrying out an investigation to figure out the root course of the murder.
This comes barely after a month after the body of lifeless NLC official, Jeniffer Wambua was found dumped in Ngong forest,18-minutes drive from Ololua.
Wambua was a communications person as she had previously worked as a journalist based in Eastern Region.
