My sister Martha, I am happy for you on your appointment, you have truly broken the glass ceiling. You have not only raised women status in Kenya, but in Africa. I wish you the very best in your new undertaking. I assure you of my unwavering support as you continue to discharge your duties.” She noted.
Kananu is certainly going to be sworn is as the governor after the court ruled that she was validly appointed as the Deputy Govenor.
The Court also rejected former Nairobi Governor’s appeal to nullify his impeachment.
This means that Kananu will oversee the running of the city uninterrupted until August 2022.
