A well respected, brilliant, outgoing yet down to earth legislator is causing sleepless nights to the incumbent as the General Elections draw nearer by the Day.
Mihang’o Ward is currently under the mantle of Honorable Paul Kados who is the longest serving MCA in Nairobi for five terms since 1997.
The Times independently sought an exclusive interview with The Honourable Lucy Wangui, the incoming Member of County Assembly MCA for Mihang’o ward.
Mrs Lucy is vying on a Chama Cha Kazi Party led by Moses Kuria under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
The Hearty young lady believes in the mantra: “Leadership is service to humanity – it’s a call to serve. True leadership is discovering something you were born to solve. True leaders have public not personal ambition. A strange love for humanity. To give peace not for their own peace.”
Bursting with ambition, energy and sheer will to transform Mihang’o, the witty leader whose coherence and eloquence is unmatched has a basketful of goodies for the people who are so dear to her – residents of Mihang’o.
Lucy Wangui is a budding and successful entrepreneur who has challenged millions of youths by setting a good example through her exemplary steering of the Hillucks Enterprises, a business she owns.
Hillucks offers logistics and works in the floriculture industry. “I bought my truck out of Youth Fund. I was a beneficiary and though I should utilise the funds to lay a foundation for my future.”
We also sought to know her plans for Mihang’o ward. She is the biblical David who is seeking to unseat the incumbent Kados.
“Change is like rest. And this is testament through the various engagements I’ve heard with my people in Mihang’o.
She has always been on the ground interacting with her people and keenly listening to their issues.
Her thematic areas of development include education, healthcare, empowerment, equal representation and creating a conducive Business environment.
