If you’ve been on the watch of any major Hollywood red carpets lately then you’re bound to have seen her as she’s hard to miss.
An impeccably dressed, strikingly beautiful, statuesque woman Rachel Mbuki Litvishkova. She is a former Miss Kenya- having represented her country at Miss Universe, TV Host, journalist and model. She is not just a beauty though.
Rachel Mbuki has been on red carpet interviewing celebrities in Hollywood.
She is brainy as well boasting 3 degrees. One in Business Information Technology, another in communication studies and yet another in Broadcast Programming and Management. “I’m very passionate about TV hosting. It’s the one thing that comes most naturally to me. I have a curious mind and love connecting with people in interviews. I take pride in being able to connect with all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds and covering wide ranging topics from pop culture and entertainment to technology, politics, finance and more so my degrees definitely help”.
Currently working with Sheen Magazine, Rachel has been on the scene covering all the major events on the Hollywood calendar thus far this year and interviewing major celebrities. She is also a writer for the international publication and tells us she loves to write as well. With Hollywood currently going to great lengths to advance diversity, Rachel feels the timing is right for her.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas, Jean Claude Vandame and many more are examples of people with very heavy foreign accents that have been very successful in Hollywood. The same hasn’t quite happened for people of African descent though.
I’m very articulate. I’ve have an excellent mastery of the English language. My accent sounds a little British because we speak Queen’s English in Kenya, but also a bit American as I have lived here for 14 years now with hints of Kenya in it. I see no reason why it should hold me back.
If anything I view it as a strength of mine. I’m proud to represent diversity”. Rachel is determined to be a staple on television and is looking forward to a great career in Television citing Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Wendy Williams, Sherri Shephard and Ryan Seacrest as her role models for the type of career she hopes to have.
