Nairobi’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Senatorial candidate Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has expressed confidence in the style of leadership adopted by Kenya Kwanza’s Presidential Candidate Dr. William Samoei Ruto.
Bishop Wanjiru made the sentiments during the signing of the women Charter.
“Today marked a very momentous day for the Women of Kenya as we witnessed the signing of the Women Charter by the incoming Government led by the 5th, His Excellency Dr. William Ruto. This Charter will guarantee business funding, better health care and inclusivity of women in leadership. It is a great win for ALL the women of Kenya,” Said Wanjiru
Bishop Wanjiru is also optimistic that women leaders will carry the day come 9th of August. She says,
“Women are gradually taking up key leadership roles in all sectors of our Nation. Any place we have a woman in leadership there is rapid development, effective service delivery and compassion towards people.”
Wanjiru who will battle it out with ODM’s Edwin Sifuna who is making his second stab for the seat, says she has big dreams for Nairobi.
“As the next Senator of Nairobi I will ensure we get more funds for our County so that we build more markets, create jobs for our youth and make sure our people enjoy the fruits of devolution.”
