Who is Frida KARANI?
Ms Farida is a Senate Candidate for Embu County 2022.
Born, raised and schooled in Embu County the articulate lady owes her good grasp of the queens language to where she schooled.
She attended her education at Kamiu, Nguviu, KSG, Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) and Jomo Kenyatta University (JKUAT) respectively.
Alongside the education she has attended and facilitated a number of skills enhancement, leadership & professional courses.
She has Chaired National Values Committee, was nominated National Values Champion and is a National Values & Cohesion ToT.
She is also the founder of Stitch in Time My Afrika Projects (SITMAP), co-founder of Transformative Women in Leadership Network (TWILN) and the Sustainable Climate Action in Africa Conference (SCAAC). She’s the Chairman of the BOT for a youth organisation – ECCSO and Patron of Athletics Kenya, Embu County.
Ms Karani believes this time round women like her will emerge winners as her county and the country are ripe for women leadership. “My name is on the ballot for the Embu County Senate seat because it is a new dawn for Kenyan women.”
She is vying on The Service Party ticket. Her key agenda? To improve the living standards of her people.
“Having worked extensively in development organisations and academia, I am no stranger to the challenges facing people in Embu. I seek to bridge the existing leadership gap with knowledge, interest, passion, experience and willingness.”
