New Pact to Enhance Knowledge Transfer Between Zetech and Edukans Signed
Netherlands based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has signed knowledge sharing pact with local university Zetech in a bid to equip youths with employability skills.
Edukans Kenya an International NGO with expertise in basic education vocational training and education in Emergencies signed an MoU with Zetech University that will see an exchange programme of teachers and students work with teams in Netherlands
According to Edukans this will better employability and skills to enable the students and youths fit in the job market and ensure marginalized youths realise their full potential.
Edukans kenya country Director Mary Mugo who spoke during the MoU signing, this comes barely a month after Edukans launched ujuzi na uajiri kwa vijana in partnership with Kenya Conference of Catholic bishops, a project that will reach over 9,000 youths in TVETs.
“We are supporting such initiatives to prepare our students for the job market,” said Ms Mugo.
Professor Njenga Munene Zetech Vice Chancellor called for more partnerships that will transform the lives of students and youths and ensure smooth transitions to labour markets.
