An accountant Joho Orio dominated the Mug golf tournament held at Nyali Golf and Country Club in Mombasa.
He won the 2022 Mug of Mugs sponsored by the Glenlivet after 69 nett score.
Playing off 11 handicap he managed to beat 100 golfers during the tournament which opened the club’s calendar of annual of events.
The runners-up award went to Inayet Kudarti after 70 nett points playing off 22 handicap while Dahir Awdeer took the third place with 71 nett score on countback.
The medal winner was Rose Njogu on 68 nett score while Harsimran Kaur got the runners-up slot on 70 nett score on countback and Alice Wahome won the third slot on 70 nett score.
Meanwhile, Joho Orio was the winner of the January Mug played at the same venue on Division A category after scoring 69 nett.
The runners-up slot went to Dhair Awdeer on 71 nett score while Thushara De Silva won the third slot after 73 nett score on countback.
The best cross winners award went to Dhair Awdeer on 79 cross score playing off 8 handicap.
The ladies medal award cross winner was Mary Kandu on 85 cross score playing off 13 handicap.
