Aspirants who vied in the previous election have unequivocally discouraged the rallies called by Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
Meeting under the leadership of their Secretary General and Ruaraka Parliamentary aspirant the Hon. Dr. Boaz Kiprop Cheluget, the leaders termed the move by Raila to call for mass rallies as ill-intended and called upon him to accept defeat.
“The government of His Excellency The President Dr William Ruto is just four months old and already we have seen the structures and policies he has already put in place to better the lives of Kenyans. We are fully behind him and we assure him of our unwavering support. For ‘Baba’ we are telling him to occupy his space as the official leader of opposition where he belongs,” said Hon Boaz Cheluget.
Other leaders including aspirants chairman who was vying in Gilgil Mr. William Wachira called upon Baba to respect the elected leadership in the office of President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
“We are calling upon Baba to be a good role model and tame his brigade’s tongue so that they cease disrespecting the elected leader. He urged them to accept and move on.’
On the same breath Othaya Parliamentary aspirant Gakuna Njima Castro also called upon the office of His Excellency The Deputy President urging that they are the remnants of the Mau Mau.”
