A religious leader is up in arms against cases of early pregnancies among students in the coast region.
Televangelist Ezekiel Odero of New Life Prayer Centre condemned sex education in learning institutions.
He added he is also against immoral teaching apart from sex education in learning institutions.
“That is my personal stand against sex education apart from early pregnancies in schools,” he pointed out.
Ezekiel said it’s wrong to engage students in immoral activities and ruining the country’s economy at large.
He was speaking when donating assorted foodstuff and sanitary towels to Vyambani Secondary School in Mavueni, Kilifi county.
The flamboyant pastor said he condemns the act of engaging students in immoral activities aimed at killing the county’s economy.
Ezekiel, who was flanked by his lawyers Cliff Ombeta and Danstan Omari, asked county residents to turn to the Almighty God to seek his intervention to ensure the area is no zone for drugs abuse.
He pointed out the county is not performing well compared to other counties in the war to eliminate the drugs menace.
Unite Against Sex
“Let us join forces with students to say NO to sex,” Televangelist Ezekiel Odero appealed.
The Pastor reminded the students the facility has spent Sh 2.1 million as donation and Sh 6.3 million to offset the fees balance for candidates sitting this year’s national examinations.
Ezekiel said the form four school fees arrears is for 155 students and assured them the church will clear the pending school fee arrears in two weeks.
He added the students’ arrears for next term is over 2 million shillings saying the church is ready to settle pending and outstanding dues.
“We settle payment for 155 school children so that they won’t be locked out from learning due to pending school fees arrears,” he pointed out.
