Teso South Constituency is set to benefit from construction of the state of the art sports academy that will nurture and develop talents among the communities.
Confirming the ambitious project, Teso South Member of Parliament, Mary Emase demonstrated her focus and dedication to nurture her people’s talents.
To illustrate her commitment to that effect, she on Saturday held an engagement meeting with residents of Chakol South ward Teso South sub-county on the
construction of the state of the art sports academy that will nurture and develop talents among the communities.
“The proposed academy will begin before the end of the year near Asiriam Primary School compound.
The proposed academy is expected to host ultra-modern soccer and athletic pitch, where young talented athletes, will nurture their potential.Also to be built will be a changing room, an office complex, training halls, indoor games arena, gymnasium, entertainment blocks and sanitary block,” said Emase.
The Sports Academy will be one of its kind in all the Busia communities who live in Teso, Nambale and Butula,Funyula,Budalangi and Matayos sub-counties.
The Academy’s function will also include collecting, collating, storing and disseminating tangible and intangible historical sports material to the public.”
