Health CS Susan Nakhumicha’s presided over the inauguration of the new Maternity Wing at M.P Shah Hospital highlighting the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services, particularly for expectant mothers and new borns in the region.
The cutting-edge facilities and technology in the maternity wing indicate a step forward in providing better healthcare experiences and outcomes for pregnant women.
The CS’s acknowledgment and praise of the hospital’s efforts demonstrate the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing healthcare services.
She said that The Health Ministry will collaborate with both faith-based and private hospitals, aiming to leverage the expertise and resources of different sectors to enhance maternal care not only in Kenya but potentially extending the impact to neighboring regions as well.
“The inauguration of this maternity wing represents a positive development in the healthcare sector in Kenya, indicating a commitment to improving maternal care and potentially revolutionizing healthcare services for mothers in the region.am proud to collaborate with both faith-based and private health facilities in improving maternal healthcare. This new facility, whose inauguration concedes with the celebrations to mark the Word Breastfeeding Week, will be critical in reducing maternal mortality as well as improving newborn outcomes.” Said Nakhumicha
