The county head of supply chain Matano Choga has been moved to the Public Service Board.
Choga has been deployed to his new position paving way for Evelyn Kazungu in an acting capacity.
Kilifi county acting for county secretary and head of county public service Martin Mwaro announced the changes during a media briefing held at county headquarters.
He disclosed that the newly appointed heads of supply chains will be deputised by 14 officers.
“The seven sub county administrators have been recalled from Kilifi North, Malindi sub county, Kilifi South, Magarini, Kaloleni, Ganze and Rabai to county headquarters for deployment,” he said.
The county officer said in his press statement to effect the changes that all chief officers will be accounting officers of their respective departments.
Mwaro defended the county’s move saying it was done in consultation with the governor.
He pointed out that the governor has made the changes with process of declaring county government departments municipalities sub counties.
“Level four hospitals are now procuring entities,” he added.
