Nandi County Public Health Officer Cons KMTC students promising employment
An employee of the County Government of Nandi Leonard Kipkosgei has gone on an extortion spree.
Kipkosgei has been collecting money from several KMTC students and promising that he is in a position to persuade the Public Service Board of Nandi to employ them.
In one incident, he received money from a female student claiming he will help her get a job as a Nutritionist in the County.
These are his phone numbers, 07297244XX and 072944674X
However, when the KMTC graduate followed up, Kipkosgei did not pick calls.
“I sent shs 55,000 to his phone number. He promised to have me employed as a Nutritionist. He persuaded me that he had connections at the County and that the officers at the County Public Service Board needed facilitation,” said the student who requested anonymity.
The student said Kipkosgei was convincing because he is also a former KMTC student in Baringo Campus.
After KMTC Baringo, Leonard Kipkosgei was employed by the County Government as an Assistant Public Health Officer (III).
His PF number is 20180045XXX.
He was given a contract extension on 7th January 2022.
He drew a salary of shs28,850 in addition to other hefty allowances.
When reached for comment on why he was duping his fellow KMTC alumni, he said he should be given time to sort out some of the issues.
“I need time. I have been suffering from bouts of Cerebral Malaria. Currently I am mentally unstable and stressed. I will call the lady and sort out with her,” he said.
However, some of the people close to him said he had spent the weekend hobnobbing from one night club to another in Eldoret town.
The incident brings to light many cases where Kenyans are being duped on the pretext of being offered employment.
The KMTC student has called on the County Government of Nandi to take action against Leonard Kipkosgei.
