Sirisia MP Waluke lauded for Western Kenya Unity

Sirisia MP Major John Waluke has been rated top among western Kenya leaders pushing for unity among the communities living in the region.
Speaking during a fundraiser to build a modern dining hall at Chwele Girls High School in Sirisia constituency on Friday, Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi commended Waluke for being a symbol of unity not only among the Mulembe nation but the entire western region.
“It’s not fair that when Luhyas decide to come together, it is termed tribal but when other communities do so, they are lauded for their unity. We should stand as the western caucus and prioritise people’s interests regardless of our political affiliation; this is our key mandate,” highlighted Wanyonyi.
Kimilili MP Didimus Baraza, on the other hand, challenged speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula to focus on the noble role of ensuring the lives of Kenyans change and keep off minor destruction, especially from young, noisy politicians.
“Principal Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi should be keen on liberating this country from economic turmoil and leave to us the job of dealing with the noisy politicians who want you to lose track,”observed Baraza.
Sirisia MP, who’s also the western region Mp’s chair, on his part affirmed their solidarity, revealing that their shares will definitely increase in the 2027 government formation.
“The journey has just begun, and the Luhyas have unanimously agreed to put all their votes in one basket to scoop the top seats in the next government because of the more shares we shall have,” Waluke amusingly mentioned.
He also added that the western caucus unity of purpose is invariable, and they are fully rallying behind Ruto’s administration, which, despite tight scrutiny from the opposition, is focused on giving hope to Kenyans and subsequently delivering on their pledges.
“Wetangula and I thrive in unity, and we believe in president Ruto’s administration; history will never give us a discount, so we need to forge ahead to revive our economy and live in hope, not fantasy,” said Musalia Mudavadi.
The Speaker of the National Assembly emphasised the unity amongst western Kenyan tribes, primarily Teso, Luhya, and Sabaot, saying the equation will be incomplete without all of them.
Also present on the occasion were Bungoma governor Kenneth Lusaka, Fred Kapondi, Mt Elgon MP, Fred Ikana, Shinyalu MP, Khalayi Adagala, Vihiga Women Representative, John Chikati, MP Tongaren MCAs, and other top government dignitaries.
