Hon. Sifuma, The Nominated MCA redefining Girl Child Empowerment
By Isabella Maua
One dedicated UDA-nominated MCA is on the verge of rewriting the history of Lukusi village in Bungoma County by empowering young school-going girls in the region.
Through her ‘Msichana Asome, Jamii Ipone’ initiative, Hon. Sheila Sifuma’s unwavering dedication has been evident in her efforts to support bright but needy girls by paying their school fees and providing basic essential items like shoes.
Her support ensures that these girls can pursue education without obstacles in order to actualize their dreams and future ambitions.
Beyond financial assistance, Hon. Sifuma is actively working to end school dropout cases and address teenage pregnancies, tackling critical issues facing the community.
So far, the girls who benefited from school fees, shoes, sanitary towels, and pants drives were from Lugusi, Misimo, Mabele, and Bakisa SA primary schools.
Her initiative is a beacon of hope, bringing positive change and empowerment to the lives of young girls and society at large.
The community continues to applaud her inspirational leadership and commitment to creating a more inclusive and empowered society.
