Azimio leader Raila Odinga has assured the ODM fraternity the party won’t disintegrate before and after conducting its much-awaited countrywide grassroots elections
He said he will ensure the party remains strong at the end of the party grassroots elections.
“I will ensure the party remains intact after the grassroots elections,” he pointed out.
Raila said he would not let ODM be divided along regional and ethnic lines during the forthcoming ODM grassroots elections.
He was speaking during a funds drive in aid of Malindi Muslims Orphanage in Kilifi county.
The Azimio leader maintained the party will conduct its grassroots elections as scheduled.
Raila, who is the ODM party leader, called for loyalty within the party fraternity and urged them to speak with one voice before and after the grassroots elections.
He cautioned that those who want to engage in regional politics during the grassroots elections pose the risk of making the party disintegrate in the future.
“ODM must remain the strongest and much organized party in the country’s political scene after its grassroots elections,” he emphasized.
