Anti government pretests brought political revolution in the country
Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) secretary general Lucas Maitha has acknowledged Gen-Zs also known as Generation Z have brought a revolution in the county’s political scene with their anti government protests.
He applauded the famous Generation Z for bringing a revolution in the country’s political scene with their anti government protests.
“The Generation Z anti government protests have brought a big revolution in the country by demonstrating that the power is with them,” he added.
Maitha said Gen-Zs have created a movement which the political class did not expect.
He was speaking during the marking of this year’s International Youth Day celebrations with a party youth progress forum at Methodist hall in Mombasa county.
The PAA secretary general reminded the forum that protests in the country are the order of the day and normal after every five years of the general elections cycle.
Maitha argued that the Gen-Zs anti government protests were different from the previous protests organized by the opposition.
He added the Gen-Zs anti government protests took the government by surprise forcing it to go back to the drawing board.
“The Gen-Zs were able to breach one of the strictest areas in the country for the first time in the country’s history,” he pointed out.
Speaking at same forum the party national chairman, Ibrahim Hamis, alias “Babangida” said the party recognizes the importance of youths in the country’s political arena.
