Bankers Drink Tusker as Slum Boys Mug Taalanta in Premier League Duel
Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) FC extended their 2023-24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF PL) season pipping 12-time champions Tusker 3-2 at St. Sebastian Park, Murang’a, on Saturday, October 26th, 2024.
Francis Kahiro broke the deadlock in the 12th minute before sealing his brace a minute later.
Ryan Ogam pulled one back for Tusker in the 38th minute but KCB re-established their two-goal cushion in the 61st minute through James Kinyanjui.
Ogam, who was returning from an injury layoff, struck from the spot in the 90th minute but not enough to save the brewers from the jaws of defeat.
The Bankers are yet to taste defeat seven rounds into the season.
Mathare 2-0 Talanta
The 2008 champions Mathare United secured their second win of the season after beating FC Talanta 2-0 at Dandora Stadium, Nairobi.
After a barren first half, centre-back Cetric Asango scored with a header in the 49th minute for the slum boys lead before Elli Asieche, doubled the advantage for Mathare in the 62nd minute.
