Senior Counsel Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka represented petitioner Tony Gachoka at the Milimani High Court, Nairobi, in a case challenging the attempted takeover of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by the Adani Group.

Dr. Musyoka, accompanied by counsels Eugene Wamalwa, Kibe Mungai, Dan Maanzo, and David Odidi, successfully secured conservatory orders from Justice Bahati Mwamuye to protect JKIA pending the determination of the case.

Speaking after the court session, Dr. Musyoka emphasized the importance of transparency in the matter.

“Kenyans demand nothing but the truth about the Adani deals. Anything else falls short of Kenyans’ expectations,” he stated, referencing the recent State of the Nation Address by President William Ruto, where cancellations of certain deals were mentioned.

The case brings into focus the scrutiny of foreign investments and the governance surrounding key national infrastructure. The issued orders safeguard JKIA as the legal proceedings unfold, providing a reprieve for the petitioners and concerned stakeholders
