Leaders challenged to safeguard and uphold good values as Ken Kariuki Chege is buried

The burial of Ben Chege Karuki held on Saturday 30th November brought together various leaders from across the political divide.Leaders at the ceremony were challenged to learn from the actions of the deceased who valued education and protection of family values.

The late Kariuki who was  father to Nairobi South B MCA Chege Waithera left behind a strong legacy, having brought up a strong and reliable family.

He was celebrated as a man who valued an educated society that does not isolate the girlchild and the less privileged.

“ The legacy he has left behind is unmatched including his unique influence on my life,” Waithera Chege who has grown up as a strong independent and now Nairobi South B MCA said adding: “ We will always remember his love for education and an educated society,”

 Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua,MPs Sabina Chege,Amos Mwago and Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu were present.

Nairobi City  County Assembly was represented by Deputy Speaker Paul Kados and Minority Leader Anthony Kiragu.

The  leaders preached harmony and peace in respect of the fallen hero who was overwhelmingly celebrated in the community.

The family was grateful to President William Ruto and his deputy Kindiki Kithure for being   supportive to them during the hard times. Former DP Rigathi Gachagua and Water CS Alice Wahome were also appreciated.
