Reshuffle: Tuju, Munya, Bosire Set for Cabinet After New Ruto, Raila Pact

Uhuru era Cabinet Secretaries Peter Munya, Raphael Tuju, and ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire are reportedly slated to join President Ruto’s cabinet in an impending reshuffle after the Raila-Ruto pact.
According to reports, the three will replace Cabinet Secretaries for Health (Deborah Barasa), Public Service (Justin Muturi), and Tourism (Rebbeca Miano), who are on their way out.
Public Service CS Justin Muturi is accused of sabotaging President Ruto’s administration from the inside after publicly criticizing the government over police brutality and the abduction of Kenyans, including his son, last year.
On the other hand, Health CS Doborah Barasa has been accused by MPs of being unable to run the Health docket, which is facing public scrutiny over the Social Health Authority (SHA) failures.
On Tuesday, five Bungoma County MPs held a press conference at Parliament building alleging a plot by a PS in the Health Ministry to have Barasa ousted from office.
Further reports suggest the impending cabinet reshuffle could also see at least 14 sitting Principal Secretaries axed to pave the way for the appointment of Raila’s allies.
Yesterday, while speaking at the burial of Kimani Waiyaki at Muthiga village, Uthiru, Kiambu Raila Odinga gave a hint of his allies being appointed in government and insisted reforms cannot be achieved from the outside.
“These reforms cannot be accomplished without us sitting down to discuss. We must also have our people inside the government to help achieve this,” Raila said.
