Dutch King Willem-Alexander Accorded 21-Gun Salute at State House, Nairobi

Dutch King Willem-Alexander was accorded a 21-gun salute at State House in Nairobi during his formal reception at the house on the hill, ahead of bilateral talks with President William Ruto.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are in Kenya for a four-day State visit focusing on trade, investment, and bilateral cooperation.

Their jet touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport last night at 8pm and were received by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

Accompanying the King and Queen is a delegation of Dutch ministers and business leaders seeking to explore investment opportunities and strengthen economic ties.

The delegation includes companies specializing in agriculture, horticulture, irrigation, water infrastructure, and sustainable financing.
