Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, in a gazette notice, has declared Monday, 31st March as a public holiday to mark Idd-ul-Fitr.
“It is notified for the general information of the public that, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 (1) of the Public Holiday Act the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration declares that Monday, March 31, 2025 shall be a public holiday.”
Eid-ul-Fitr, also “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” is one of the most significant holidays in the Islamic calendar and marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection observed by Muslims.
