A family of four, who had gone missing during a camping trip in Tsavo East National Park, was found safe after a 24-hour search operation.
The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), along with local communities and conservation partners, executed the rescue.
”A heartfelt thank you to the local communities, conservation partners, and KWS officers whose swift and coordinated efforts led to the safe rescue of the family that had been stranded in Tsavo East National Park while on a camping excursion,” KWS said in a statement.
The family was located 50 kilometers from their intended route, unharmed and in good health. This incident underscored the effectiveness of collaborative conservation efforts in the country.
