Mr. Adan Haji Ali, the immediate former Member of Parliament for Mandera South, has expressed his appreciation to President William Samoei Ruto following his appointment as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), replacing George Wanga.

Haji Ali, in a statement on Thursday acknowledged the appointment as a strong vote of confidence from the Head of State, describing it as a humbling testament to the President’s faith in his leadership capacity and ability to steer critical national institutions.

“I am profoundly grateful to His Excellency the President for this honour and the trust he has placed in me to lead the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority. The President’s confidence in my ability is not just a personal recognition but a reflection of the belief that our region can produce leaders who can contribute meaningfully to national development,” he said.

Ali pledged to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in his new role, assuring the President and Kenyans that he will diligently execute his mandate for the benefit of the nation.

“This appointment is not just a position, it is a responsibility. I am fully committed to ensuring that the trust His Excellency the President has placed in me will translate into impactful service and the advancement of Kenya’s energy and petroleum sectors,” he added.

The former MP also thanked the people of Mandera South for their continued support, noting that his elevation to a national leadership role is a shared victory for the entire constituency.
