Nyali Parliamentary Aspirant Elcana Jacob Urges Communities to Embrace Discipline, Faith, and Unity.

Former Nairobi City County Communication Director, Elcana Jacob, has underscored the importance of religious teachings and security as the foundation for a prosperous and progressive society.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony of 20 students at the House of Islamic Studies Madrasa in Kisimani, Ziwalang’ombe, Nyali Sub-County, Elcana emphasized that religion instills discipline, moral values, and strong character in future generations.

“Religion is key it fosters discipline, integrates communities, and builds the character of a person. Our children, the future leaders, must receive proper religious teachings,” he said.

Elcana, a communication consultant, security expert, and criminologist, noted that security is equally paramount for sustainable development, urging communities and security agencies to work hand in hand.

“We must work as a team. Security is paramount. Nyali is a great place to live and invest in, and it can only thrive when we safeguard it together,” he added.

The youthful leader, who is eyeing the Nyali Parliamentary seat, further called on citizens to identify and support credible leaders who are committed to moving communities in the right direction.

During the ceremony, Ustadh Khatib Wayu Odha highlighted the need for unity within the community, praising leaders who actively engage with the people.

“We should walk as one community and transform our character for the better,” he remarked.

Barke Hassan, a community member and Madrasa committee representative, echoed the call for youthful leadership, urging residents to support energetic leaders ready to drive progress.

“We must work together as a family. Any positive effort benefits us all,” she said.

The House of Islamic Studies Madrasa, which currently has about 80 enrolled students, celebrated the graduation of 20 students in a colorful event marked by unity, prayers, and reflections on the role of religion in shaping society.
