Retail giant Naivas Limited has expanded its footprint in Nairobi with the opening of its 112th branch in Mihango, Utawala, strengthening its mission to deliver quality, affordability, and convenience to more Kenyan households.

The new outlet, situated in one of the city’s rapidly growing residential zones, features a modern store layout, an extensive product range, and the retailer’s well-known focus on fresh food offerings and pocket-friendly pricing.

Speaking during the launch, Naivas CEO Andreas von Paleske said the expansion reflects the company’s continued commitment to meeting customer needs across the country.

“Our expansion is always guided by the needs of the communities we serve. Opening our 112th branch in Mihango underscores our commitment to bringing quality and affordability closer to more Kenyan households,” he said. “We are proud to continue creating accessible shopping spaces that elevate the customer experience while supporting local supply chains.”

Head of Store Operations Cyrus Mathenge noted that the Mihango branch was fully prepared to begin serving customers immediately.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that the store opens fully stocked, well-staffed, and ready to deliver the warm, seamless service Naivas is known for,” he said. “We are excited to welcome residents of this vibrant neighbourhood and look forward to serving them with excellence from day one.”

Supplier partners also hailed the continued growth of the supermarket chain. Debenham & Fear CEO Raju Gudhka said Naivas’ expansion highlights its strong market presence and industry leadership.

“Naivas’ growth is a testament to their vision, consistency, and commitment to uplifting the retail sector. Each new branch, including Mihango, strengthens the retail value chain and ensures that more consumers have access to quality products at fair prices,” he said.

The new branch will serve shoppers from Mihango, Utawala, Ruai, and surrounding areas, offering enhanced convenience especially during the festive season.
