Huawei has officially unveiled its latest generation of smart wearables, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series and HUAWEI Band 10, in the Kenyan market. Following their global debut in May, these devices are set to transform the way Kenyans approach fitness, health, and everyday smart living.

The launch reaffirms Huawei’s commitment to blending cutting edge technology with practical, stylish design, all while addressing the specific needs of Kenyan consumers. The company continues to position itself as a leading innovator in the wellness technology space with a strong focus on making pro level features more accessible.

Jin Renbin, Device Manager at Huawei Kenya, emphasized the brand’s tailored approach to the local market.

“Kenya is a rapidly growing hub for digital wellness and we’re proud to bring global innovations like the WATCH FIT 4 and Band 10 to this market,” he said. “These devices are slim, powerful, and smart, crafted for both style conscious individuals and serious fitness enthusiasts.”

The HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 is a statement piece, weighing just 27 grams with a long lasting 400mAh battery that delivers up to 10 days of usage on a single charge. It carries Huawei’s signature rectangular display, now presented in an even slimmer, more vibrant frame that enhances comfort and usability.

For those seeking a lightweight and versatile alternative, the HUAWEI Band 10 offers exceptional value. Weighing a mere 15 grams, it boasts an impressive 14 day battery life and supports fast charging. With just a five minute charge, users can enjoy up to two days of uninterrupted usage, making it perfect for students, fitness beginners, and everyday users alike.

Both devices are equipped with advanced health monitoring tools, including continuous heart rate tracking, blood oxygen (SpO₂) monitoring, detailed sleep analysis, and 24/7 heart rate variability (HRV) insights.

Adam Lane, Huawei Kenya’s Policy and Partnerships Manager, explained, “We are integrating AI more deeply into our health tracking features. This not only offers users real time data but also encourages a more proactive approach to wellness, including emotional and cardiovascular health.”

The WATCH FIT 4 stands out with its pro level fitness suite, featuring dual band GNSS tracking, offline topographic maps, barometric elevation readings, watersports route tracking, and freediving support up to 40 meters, features usually reserved for high end sports watches.

Huawei has gone a step further by tailoring its workout modes to Kenyan lifestyles, with specific focus on activities like outdoor running, walking, and cycling. Wilfred Odera, Huawei Kenya’s Marketing Manager, noted, “We’ve taken a localized approach to ensure our wearables are not just global products but relevant, daily wellness companions for every Kenyan.”

The wearables also integrate seamlessly with Android and iOS devices and pair effortlessly with the updated Huawei Health app, now offering real time insights, personalized coaching, and smart controls.

Pricing has been deliberately set to maximize accessibility. The WATCH FIT 4 is now available at a special launch price of KES 19,999, down from KES 21,999. The Band 10 retails at KES 7,999 for the Aluminium Alloy case and KES 6,999 for the plastic version. These devices are available at Huawei partner stores across the country including Anisuma, Miniso, and Phone Place with additional financing options and promotions in collaboration with local telcos and retailers.

“Affordability doesn’t mean compromise,” Jin Renbin assured. “We’ve combined premium features with strong local partnerships to ensure this technology reaches students, professionals, and athletes alike.”

Huawei’s global dominance in the wearables sector continues to grow. According to IDC, Huawei currently holds the number one spot worldwide with a 16.9 percent global market share and a remarkable 44.3 percent year on year growth. The company is building on the success of the award winning WATCH FIT 3 and is now expanding its footprint across Africa.

Looking ahead, Huawei plans to deepen collaborations with regional developers, health tech startups, and universities through its Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) platform to create customized digital wellness solutions for African consumers.

Wilfred Odera summed it up stated: “We believe technology should be inclusive. We are delivering flagship level capabilities at prices that make sense for Kenyan professionals, athletes, students, and everyone in between.”
