Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has assured Kenyans that security agencies are fully prepared to deal with any unrest linked to political activities surrounding Rigathi Gachagua’s return.

Speaking on Tuesday, Murkomen said the National Police Service is on high alert to safeguard both citizens and property. He pointed to past instances of protests tied to Gachagua’s movements, saying police would not hesitate to act against lawbreakers.

“We know there are individuals planning disruptions and even trying to link them to ongoing national events. I want to make it clear that anyone who breaks the law will face consequences. Our priority is to ensure Kenya remains peaceful as it has been in recent weeks,” he stated.

Murkomen further cautioned against attempts by political supporters to flood Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), insisting that order must prevail and normal activities—including major sporting events—should not be disrupted.
