Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative commentator and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, while addressing students at Utah Valley University. He was rushed to hospital but did not survive his injuries.
The attack unfolded during Kirk’s American Comeback Tour lecture series. A bullet, fired from a building nearly 200 yards away, struck him in the neck. Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic as the audience scrambled for safety, with video footage capturing the moment Kirk collapsed on stage.
Authorities initially reported a suspect was in custody but later confirmed no arrests have been made. The investigation is being handled by campus police with support from federal agencies, including the FBI and ATF. Utah Valley University was immediately locked down and evacuated as officers secured the area.
