Glam Hotel has expanded its footprint in Nairobi’s competitive hospitality scene with the launch of a new rooftop restaurant and bar, a chic addition that is set to elevate Westlands’ status as a hub for luxury dining and entertainment.
The upscale venue, perched on the 10th floor of the boutique hotel along General Mathenge Road, was unveiled during a vibrant Friday-night event attended by business leaders, influencers, creatives, and hospitality industry players. Guests were treated to a lively mix of live music, curated DJ sets, drumming performances, and dance showcases that set the tone for the hotel’s new social space.
“This rooftop is more than a venue — it’s an experience,” said Ashish Sharma, CEO of Thrive Hospitality, which owns Glam Hotel. “We wanted a space that reflects Nairobi’s character — vibrant, diverse, and full of life.”
Throughout the evening, guests sampled a selection of continental dishes and bespoke cocktails, all against the backdrop of the sparkling Nairobi skyline. The rooftop, with a capacity of up to 200 guests, is designed to host sundowners, private events, themed evenings, and casual dining.
Sanjay Shah, one of the hotel’s directors, said the aim was to create a seamless blend of food, ambience, and the city’s social spirit. “Our vision was to create a space that brings together good food and Nairobi’s social energy — where every evening feels like a celebration.”
As the night wound down, guests gathered for a celebratory toast overlooking the city, a symbolic welcome for what the hotel hopes will become one of Westlands’ signature rooftop destinations.
Glam Hotel, known for its modern design and curated guest experiences, sits along General Mathenge Road in Westlands. Its new rooftop restaurant and bar builds on that concept, offering panoramic views, continental cuisine, innovative cocktails, and a refined social experience tailored for Nairobi’s evolving urban culture.
