Bishop Simon Kieru of K.A.G Nyahururu has implored upon Kenyans to be their brother’s keeper .

This the Bishop said has been occasioned by the prolonged drought ravaging our Nation.

“Even our spiritual leader has implored upon us , as the church to see what we could donate towards the welfare of our starving brothers especially those in the Arid and Semi arid areas which currently bear the greatest blunt of the drought. We are therefore urging the Kenyans to donate wholeheartedly.”

The respected Man of God also urged the government of Dr William Ruto to see to it that urgent measures are taken to address the drought situation.

“In as much as we are talking about drought let the president know that it’s his people who are suffering. These are his electorate and it’s unfortunate to see them in that situation. The current drought is a national disaster and it should be treated as such.”

Finally the Bishop urged Kenyans to give whatever they are able to, in their own capacity in the spirit of brotherhood.
