NGO and Mombasa County Government to Support Youths


Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the Mombasa county government have dedicated their efforts to support youths.


Swahilipot hub foundation chief executive officer (CEO) Mahmoud Noor said they are ready to ensure youths overcome emerging challenges and thrive in the ecosystem of the day.


He added that this will be through strategic partnerships with communities and government entities and also public cum private sectors.


“And also through development partners and academia,” he pointed out.


Mahmoud said the foundation leverages the strengths and diversity of individuals from all backgrounds.


He was speaking during a media briefing on Pwani Innovation week held at Swahilipot office in Mvita constituency, Mombasa county.


The foundation CEO said their target is to empower youths from all backgrounds and to transform their quality of life.


Mahmoud argued that this is with a strong commitment to inclusivity, cooperation, self-reliance and respect for diversity.


He clarified that the foundation allows young individuals to take charge of their journey.


“The youths’ journey through access to learning opportunities and forging a meaningful partnership,” he pointed out.


The foundation boss told the media the youths will also be fostering a vibrant culture of youths engagement in all aspects of development.

Mahmoud pointed out that Pwani Innovation week is a consolidated effort by the foundation and the county government together with partners to help create a widespread culture of innovation and to stimulate the innovation ecosystem in the coast region and the larger East Africa region.
