Susan Njeri Waititu Secures Jubilee Ticket

The late Francis Munyua Waititu’s widow Susan Njeri will fly the Jubilee flag in the
Juja Constituency by-election after emerging victorious in the party primaries that took place on Saturday March 20th 2021.
The seat fell vacant after the two term Mp Francis Munyua Waititu alias Wakapee succumbed to brain cancer at Mp Shah Hospital.
On March 19 th Senior officials of Kiambu (KUPPET) and Kenya Women Teachers Association (KEWOTA) vowed to support her before the Saturday primaries.
Jude Jomo,Kiambu Town Mp had rallied for Susan Njeri Waititu to be given an opportunity to accomplish the work her husband had started.
The departed Mp’s widow garnered 1,596 votes while Joseph Ng’ang’a her closest rival collected 896 votes and Naftali Rugara, a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student, came third with 669 votes.
Bribery allegations, low voter turnout,voters missing in the IEBC register and presiding officers being harassed claims are some of the factors that marred the election exercise.
Adressing the media after her victory,Njeri thanked her supporters for making the day a success and giving her a chance to contest in the Juja Constiuency by-election that is scheduled for Tuesday May 18 2021.
The Jubille torch bearer for Juja Constituency will now have to carry a series of political rallies in a bid to woo residentsfrom her constituency to vote for her so as to secure the seat come May 18 2021.
If the departed Mp’s widow secures the seat she is set to continue from where her husband left making sure all the projects he had started working on are accomplished fully.
