By Oduor Jacktone
Rainbow Ruiru Resort, one of the signature multi-billion hotels in Ruiru, Kiambu County, is set for auction after defaulting on a Ksh 1 million payment to Adan Meat supplies.
Information reaching our desk indicates Adan claims in court papers that the hotel has openly refused to pay the debt even after supplying it with meat. It further notes that the debt dates back to 2015.
The meat supplier now wants the hotel to be declared insolvent saying the owner, Julius Kamau, has been arrogant as well as defied summons to appear in court.

The new revelations come at a time when a section of employees at the hotel allege that they have not been paid for six months. Moreover, marketers working for the hotel also claim that they never paid commissions however much they meet their targets.
The hotel owner has further been accused of being crafty and ensures that all agreements are verbal to avoid committing himself.
Sources privy to the operations of the hotels have also exposed that it never remits taxes to KRA and other statutory bodies even after deductions are made from salaries of the employees.
Julius, the hotel owner, has an interest in security, real estate, a quarry that he bought recently and in the hospitality industry.
