By Mourice Seretta
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines delivered an additional 407,000 coronavirus vaccine doses of AstraZeneca to Nairobi Kenya, as the country gears towards vaccinating majority of the population.
The arrival of these vaccines marks the much anticipated beginning of the end of the pandemic for the region.
This shipment comes in at a very critical time in Kenya, following the launch of a mass vaccination campaign launched by the Ministry of Health. This will ensure that majority of the population is protected and that hospitals and health centres across Kenya will be able to continue providing essential care to people affected by COVID-19.
