Kimani Ngunjiri under pressure to pave way for fresh blood
Pressure continues to mount on Deputy President William Ruto to consider a different candidate for the Bahati Parliamentary seat.
A group of professionals,youth groups and women groups have vowed to petition DP William Ruto and UDA officials over the need to consider a candidate who can actively participate in parliamentary work as well as work for his or her people.
They are accusing the current MP of being an absentee leader and an embarrassment to the thousands of learned professionals in the region.
“We are going to be very particular on who we elect as MP for Bahati because we feel that we got a raw deal in 2017.We want a vibrant voice in parliament and someone who can put Bahati on the map for good reasons,” Douglas Mwaniki a youth group leader said.
They have asked the UDA party to conduct the party primaries with transparency, threatening that they will bolt out if Incase of a bangled process.
