Uhuru Set to Open School Heads Annual Conference

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to officially open the 45th Kenya Commercial Bank cum Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association [KESSHA] annual national conference to be held for the first time at Sheikh Zayed Hall in Nyali constituency in Mombasa county instead of the Kenya School of Revenue Administration [KESRA] ground along the Mombasa, Malindi Road.
According to a tentative program the Head of State will officially open the five day meeting on April 6 at the backyard of controversial Nyali legislator Mohammed Ali alias Jicho Pevu.
This year’s conference has been moved to Sheikh Zayed hall from the previous venue at Wild Water Centre in Mombasa county.
The theme of the form which will be held from April 4 to April 8 is Re-Examining Our Future Together and about 10,000 secondary school principals are expected to attend.
The forum will be closed on Friday by chairman of the Teachers Service Commission Dr Jamleck Muturi.
Before the closing ceremony Prof Fatuma Chege from the State Department for Implementation of Curriculum Reforms in Education is listed as the major speaker of the day.
On the first day Director – Policy, Partnerships and East African Community Affairs Dr. Sylvester Mulambe will be the main speaker with Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General, Kenya Women of Teachers Association (KEWOTA) Secretary General and KCB Head, Personal Banking sales Mr. Michael Kungu also listed as being speakers on that day.
