Kaluma dismisses Mizani poll,says he has 95% support
Homabay town MP Peter Kaluma has dismissed the Mizani Africa poll that has given him 58% ratings ahead of other contestants.
The vocal legislator has termed the poll as “fake and shallow”, noting that he is currently at 95% and that his opponents will share the spoils.
“Those boys can’t get even 10% of my votes in Homabay,” Kaluma said.
The MP said that his record speaks for itself and that those contesting are doing so to seek attention.
The poll released by Mizani Africa on Friday placed Kaluma as the clear front runner in the Homabay Parliamentary race.
The polls has placed Kaluma ahead with leading candidate with 58per cent beating Noah Ochola who bagged 22.5% and George Miyare who has 10%.The poll indicates that 7.4% are undecided.
The findings were contained in a study released on Friday 25th.It was conducted between March 8 and 18th across all the constituencies in Homabay.
The survey further revealed that majority of Homabay town Constituency residents support the Azimio La Umoja outfit.
Homabay is in Homa Bay County which is one of the counties in Nyanza region where ODM commands big support and a candidate with the party ticket has a higher chance of winning in the general election.
Kaluma has served as MP since 2013 and he will be seeking the third term in office.
He is one of the most vocal MPs in parliament and has served in major committees among them the Public Accounts Committe.
Kaluma also delved on the gubernatorial race where he noted that it keeps changing every passing day.
It keeps changing and expect major surprises but as of now, John Mbadi is ahead.
” Mbadi,Kidero, Magwanga and Ogwe are attracting very huge crowds in their rallies.It appears the male contestants have mopped up their home-grounds leaving Ndhiwa and Karachuonyo as the only battle grounds,”
He has advised Gladys Wanga to review her strategies of she has to emerge the winner.
