Redhouse Group wins big at the Africa SABRE Awards
Integrated marketing and communication company Redhouse Group was a standout performer at the recently concluded Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation and Engagement (SABRE) awards for Africa, landing seven accolades.
Redhouse was the overall winner in the Marketing to Consumers (New Product) category for its work with East African Breweries Limited (EABL) during the launch of Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla, a brand of gin unveiled by the region’s leading alcoholic beverages company at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. This entry also won a Certificate of Excellence in the Eastern Africa category.
Another win for the communication consultancy came in the Public Sector category with its entry on the operationalization of the first berth at the Lamu Port, where it scooped the overall award and a Certificate of Excellence for Media Relations. This assignment was executed for Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), the state corporation mandated to build and manage Kenya’s port infrastructure.
Said the Group’s Chief Executive Officer Koome Mwambia, “These wins are a resounding testimony and affirmation of the work we do. There can be no better recognition of one’s work than by peers. I congratulate our teams for placing us on the map of superior work and thank our partners for giving us the opportunity. We will continue to create and deploy insight-led strategies that bring reputational and strategic value to our partners’ businesses.”
Redhouse also won a Certificate of Excellence for an assignment executed for the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) where it was cited for Superior Achievement in Reputational Management. It was also garlanded for Brand Building based on work done on the NIC and CBA merger, the biggest such transaction in the Kenyan banking sector. Another Certificate of Excellence for Redhouse came in the not-for-profit (charities) category for a partnership with Tusk Organization (a conservation agency) on its Wildlife Ranger Challenge project.
Last year, Redhouse was the most awarded agency at the PRSK (Public Relations Society of Kenya) Awards, winning in three categories: Media Relations, Not-for-Profit and Consumer Relations. Redhouse is home to global agency Omnicom’s brands BBDO, TBWA, and Ketchum Consulting in Kenya.
The winners of this year’s SABRE Awards, which “recognize superior achievement in branding, reputation and engagement” and is judged by industry leaders, will be feted on May 25, during the African PR Conference in Dar es Salaam. The awards are organized by PRovoke, the largest international communication media, published by the Holmes Report.
