Review: Paleo Hotel &SPA A Perfect Weekend Get Away
By Martin Masinde
In a residential district, this laid-back hotel is a kilometre from Thika Falls, a 10-minute walk from Christina Wangari Gardens and 3 km from Thika railway station.
The hotel has several amenities ranging from a heated pool, Jacuzzi, barbecue, gym and spa.
It’s an ideal weekend getaway with amenities ranging from conference facilities with uncompromised serenity and tranquility.
Walking into the lobby, it’s immediately clear that a lot of thought went into the redesign.
There’s hardly a place for your eyes to land that doesn’t feel like an Instagram-worthy moment.
That rings especially true at the lobby cocktail bar, which features a monumental series of floating gold shelves.
The industrial-meets-modern-comfort aesthetic is echoed throughout the building, including in the individual floors’ lobbies and ultimately into the guest rooms. In the hallways, blue and tan mosaic-like carpet feels almost like a stream guiding guests to the rooms, which feature floor-to-ceiling wooden entryways.
Next time you’re in Thika make sure you pass by Paleo hotel.
