Abio Bets in Girlchild Education to Transform Tana River County
By Kariuki
Alfet Mumbo Abio is the candidate to watch in the Tana River Woman Representative position. Ms Abio received her certificate from Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula on Tuesday.
She has a great vision for Tana River county especially on fighting for equality in a county that has faced marginalisation for a long time.
It’s also a county that has seen a sharp rise in teen pregnancies a phenomenon that the incoming woman representative intends to address.
Ms Abio intends to ensure transparency in utilisation of resources whereby all children must attain education.
On healthcare, the visionary leader believes that she can lobby for sufficient resources to make sure new health centers are built and that they are fully equipped.
Her agenda on agriculture is candid: that the county resources can be fully utilized for food security.
“God has blessed our Tana River County with grace, we have fertile land, river and even minerals. Good leadership is needed to help the Tana River residents benefit from this grace, and I believe any Tana resident can be given the knowledge of modern farming technology until we reach the level of “Kilimo Biashara”
Her parting shot is to the Tana River voter to evaluate the aspirants wisely in order to elect leaders with merit. Remember choices have consequences.
