Eng Anthony Chelimo Looking to Change the face of Elgeyo Marakwet

Prominent businessman cum politician Eng. Anthony Chelimo has vowed to change the face of Elgeyo Marakwet if elected the new Governor.
While announcing his bid for the Gubernatorial seat, Chelimo said if given the chance, he will address thorny issues like revamping infrastructure,, education, Agriculture, Healthcare, and security among other issues affecting the locals.
In addtion,Hon. Chelimo who takes over from outgoing Governor Alex Tolgos, added that he will work closely with the Government of the day in order to bring development closer to the people.
While presiding the finals of the Chelimo cup which he has sponsored, chelimo
said he will construct and equip modern police posts and stations which will be manned using the latest technology which he has introduced.
He said “Elgeyo Marakwet stares at security threats of banditry from the volatile neighboring counties of Baringo,
” I want to address the matter if im given the chance to serve my people”
The National Vision Party candidate added, “Elgeyo Marakwet county is an agrarian region blessed with fertile arable soil which we can irrigate and make our county food sufficient. The county is the best producer of the sweetest mangoes and im willing to do wonders in that sector.
He intends also to set up processing factories in a bid to create job employment to the youths.
On youth, women and persons with disabilities,Hon, Chelimo intends to hone their skills through TVETs and cottage industries so that they can earn a decent income and be financially stable.
