Nyakera Intensifies Farmers Empowerment Programmes

Murang’a incoming Governor Irungu Nyakera Today continued with his meet-the-people tour.
In his Facebook page, he posted:
“Today I delivered on my promise to donate pigs to a sabasaba-based organized youth group. As part of our efforts to make Murang’a the richest county in the country, we are committed to making Murang’a farmers the happiest in the region,” the post read.
Armed with a wealth of experience from both the public and private sector, Nyakera says he’s indeed ready to liberate Murang’a.
He is vying on the Farmers Party ticket deputised by Catherine Wairimu.
His vision for Murang’a is anchored on 9 key covenants which include: Leadership partnership, Good governance, Farmers economic empowerment, Youth economic & Political empowerment, Women economic empowerment, Business growth, Fighting Drug and alcohol abuse, Better healthcare and Education.
He has been rolling out the Kahawa Boost Program aimed at empowering the coffee farmers and ensuring that they reap the best out of their toil.
