The Wezesha Youth Initiative will be hosting a fashion show towards preaching peace during this electioneering period.
Wezesha Youth Inituative is a non-profit organisation that is involved in promotion of peace and tolerance on the country and has offices in eight counties.
The 2007 post election violence, they say, was the motivation behind the organisation.
The fashion show which will be held at Nairobi Cinema on Saturday 25th June will attract over a thousand participants drawn from various youth organisations.
The pageant dubbed ‘Mr and Miss Tranquility 2022’ will have 6 categories and the winners in the various categories get to walk away with fifty thousand Kenya Shillings. This beauty pageant will be the second edition. The first edition was held two years ago in Siaya County.
The winners will be expected to be the peace ambassadors in their various counties and neighborhoods.
Wezesha Youth Initiative Mr. Paul Victor urged the youth to be ambassadors of peace, saying that, “as a youth organisation, we are preaching peace ams political tolerance.
Youth should take centerstage in addressing disunity in our communities”.
They invited the youth to participate in the pageant.
