He said that the school inspires, empowers, and provides accessible Education to diverse learners preparing them for dynamic living, working, and serving in a changing world.

Mr. Maina said that practical skills are essential in the field and it is the reason why the college has tried to link with the industry players.

He said that this will enable students and society to be in a position to use the skills acquired to address those in need.

He said that to enroll for the course students only form four certificates and results slip for them to be enrolled in the institution irrespective of what they scored.

He said that the school is focused on up skilling students for the work of the future, which includes making them aware of the options and skills needed for those careers.

“A caregiver is someone who assists senior adults or individuals with disabilities or special needs. Caregivers can work in a variety of roles, and care giving responsibilities may range from companionship to daily care and even basic medical assistance, ‘he said.

He said that care giving requires different levels of training depending on the type of role you choose.

“Caregivers work in a non-medical role to offer assistance with routine tasks of daily living. These responsibilities may include companionship, homemaking, personal assistance, personal care, and even 24-hour live-in care, “he said.

He said that most caregivers are absorbed into the international market and they opt to work in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia among other places as long as they meet the work requirements of their employers and the countries.

Mr. Maina further noted that students can also choose to work locally in hospices, home care agencies, medical centers, clinics, and hospitals, or be self-employed as personal care or home care aides.

Alternatively, students can also choose to further their education by taking additional training or classes in the vast field of healthcare.

The school is situated at Haven house Thika, Uhuru Street next to G4S offices, the school offers Diplomas, Certificates, and Artisan courses to any student with a mean grade from D in certificate and diploma for above.

Maina said his dream in the education sector is to see the realization of quality education in every corner of the Country.
