I’ll exceed your expectations, Deputy Governor assures Bungoma residents

Mt.Elgon residents have been challenged to embrace women in leadership and empower them both developmentally and politically.
Speaking at Kibuk, Mt. Elgon while addressing mourners at a funeral, Deputy governor Jennifer Mbatiany said that it is time to hold each others hand and pull together to ensure set targets are fully realized.
“On behalf of governor Lusaka, I’d like to thank you for the massive votes we garnered to enable our win, I promise our government will deliver and ensure Mt. Elgon ascends the developmental ladder residents have long been yearning for,” Jennifer said.
The Deputy governor also expressed her optimism on Supreme Court upholding her party boss President elect William Ruto ‘s win and further urged citizens to work closely and indiscriminately with the chosen leaders.
“Let’s stop looking down upon our leaders and give them full support so as to enable them achieve their purpose and deliver their promise to society,” she insisted.
She also revealed that her government is pushing for each Sub county in the region to be a constituency so as to increase fundings.
The DG on the other hand disclosed that they are in the auditing stage and are since carrying out the process with the aid of 3 committees which are looking into pending bills, human resource and scholarship matters.
“After the committees have concluded their tasks, we shall then hold a public participation forum where all of you will be incorporated in reaching amicable decisions,” Jennifer concluded.
