Clergy In Clarion Call for Prayer As Kenya Prepares for Court Verdict
By John Kariuki
The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya has implored upon Kenyans to continue to pray for our country ahead of the Supreme Court verdict expected to be delivered today.
In a news release the Alliance observed:
“We wish to thank all of you for your active participation in peace building, Civic and voter education in the just concluded elections whose results are in contestation and the case is in the Supreme Court . The Chief Justice Hon. Martha Koome and her deputy have requested the nation and specifically the church to pray even as they finalize their analysis of submissions made by the learned friends. We need to pray for them before the pronouncement of court verdict on Monday the 5th September 2022.
We therefore requests all our members to dedicate quality time to pray for continued peace and justice nationally, and that God will guide the bench of the 7 Judges in supreme Court as they pronounce judgement.
We urge all our members and Kenyans in general to maintain peace and order during and after the judgement.”
