All Set for Abdulswamad Swearing in as 2nd Mombasa Governor

The Mombasa assumption of office committee is making final touches in preparation for the inauguration and swearing in ceremony of Mombasa governor elect Abdulswamad Nassir at Mama Ngina water front in Mombasa county.
Speaking after carrying out an inspection of the venue for the ceremony the committee chair who is county secretary Joab Tumbo told the media they are set to go for the event.
He told journalists the committee is in line with an act that came into force in 2019.
He added the committee comprises members from all sectors who were visiting the site.
“The mission is to ensure everything is in place ahead of the swearing in ceremony,” he emphasized.
Tumbo, who was speaking at the site in Mvita constituency, said the delay of the cerebration was occasioned by the postponement of the election for two weeks by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
